Since 1987, htk academy has been a private vocational school offering courses in the ever-changing sectors of art and design.
htk academy is officially recognised as a German vocational school for both Hamburg and online education, by §12a.F. of the Hamburg Act on Schools in Private Sponsorship.
For Berlin, htk academy holds the status of an official vocational school in accordance with §102 of the School Act for the State of Berlin.
htk academy has now expanded its course portfolio.
Our English programmes in Communication Design and Game Creation will give you the chance to learn from industry experts and interact with them in daily livestreaming classes.
You will get to work on hands-on projects each semester. Upon completion of your vocational certificate you will have perfected your creative portfolio and with that you will be able to impress employers at your next job interviews.

HTK ACADEMY
OUR HISTORY
It all began in 1987 at Spaldingstraße in Hamburg.
Our first logo from 1987 was heavily influenced by the school’s illustrative orientation. Interestingly, a massive steel pencil also adorned the facade of the htk academy’s building on Adenauerallee in Hamburg for many years.
In 2001, the htk academy opened its doors near Anhalter Bahnhof in Berlin, creating a new academy in the creative heart of the German capital.
Over the years, the htk academy has steadily grown, leading to changes in facilities and locations. However, one thing has remained constant: wherever the htk academy has found its home, a new creative place has emerged.

The htk academy is part of GUS Germany GmbH (GGG), a dynamic network of academies and educational institutions with over 15,000 students in Germany, Europe, and beyond.
